Before the school year began, Waimea High School Army JROTC held an open house for incoming students on August 2, 2024. This event allowed new high schoolers to experience and learn more about the Army JROTC program.
Before the open house, Cadets and incoming high schoolers had the opportunity to bond with their respective companies. During the event, attendees and their parents met current instructors and Cadet leadership, gaining insights into the program and its activities. Special teams, including the Air Riflery Team, Honor Guard, Color Guard, and Drill Team, provided brief descriptions of their respective roles. The event aimed to inspire and inform incoming students about joining the program.
