Cadet Rasmussen, who is the Cadet battalion commander for the Vilseck High School, 18th Army JROTC “Falcon” Battalion from 2nd Brigade has been selected as a delegate to the United States Senate Youth Program. He and other delegates from around the nation will be spending 1-week in our nation’s capitol meeting with leadership from all branches of the US government, the military, the press, and other key institutions. Last year’s agenda included meetings with over half of the 100 US Senators, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the US Surgeon General, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and many other government officials and tours. White House visits and meetings with the president have been arranged in the past (dependent on the President’s schedule).
