RAIDER Challenge – National Championship

The RAIDER Challenge is the nation’s premier JROTC adventure competition, designed to push cadets beyond the classroom into high-impact physical and tactical scenarios. Hosted by U.S. Army Cadet Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky, the event fosters grit, leadership, and camaraderie through obstacle-based competition.

What Cadets Face

  • 🟡 5K Team Run: Rugged endurance race promoting speed and cohesion
  • 🟡 Rope Bridge: Fast-paced team engineering under pressure
  • 🟡 Cross Country Rescue: Evacuation drill simulating battlefield urgency
  • 🟡 The Gauntlet: Multi-event obstacle course testing physical and mental stamina
  • 🟡 Physical Fitness Test: Tires, sandbags, sprints — all in sync with the team

Each event is designed to challenge individual tenacity while reinforcing unit cohesion. Teams compete by gender and mixed divisions, with scores tracked across all five core events to determine national standing.
