Hamamoto Receives Legion of Valor Bronze Cross
On 28 September 2023, Punahou School President Dr. Mike Latham presented the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross to Cadet Major Kylee Hamamoto, in recognition of her outstanding service and commitment to her school and the Army JROTC program. The Legion of Valor is presented to 1 out of 4,000 JROTC Cadets each year and is presented to Cadets who demonstrate excellence in military, scholastic, and civil affairs.
Cadet Hamamoto is a Senior, LET 3, who plans to attend Harvard University with an Army SROTC scholarship. Besides serving as the Battalion XO, Cadet Hamamoto is the founder and executive director of her own nonprofit organization, WeGo! Hawaii. Cadet Hamamoto is an inspiration to many and serves as a brilliant reflection of the Army JROTC program, her school, her family, and herself.
