Over 450 PXU Cadets, JROTC faculty, staff, Administrators, and their guests attended the Phoenix Union Army JROTC Military Ball at the Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak, on February 3, 2024.
The Military Ball King was Cadet Second Lieutenant Pete Aranda and the Queen was Cadet Captain Krystal Oliva, both from Cesar Chavez High School. Pete has been accepted into the Navy Nuclear Engineering program and Krystal will attend Case Western Reserve University on a full scholarship. Kadi Moore, The Academies at South Mountain English Teacher, a 2015 Trevor Browne graduate and four-year JROTC participant was the guest speaker.
Special guests included Manuel Calderon and Stephanie Streeter from Trevor Browne, John Doherty from Maryvale, Robert Grant from Cesar Chavez, Jacob Lambert from Central, Laura Motush from the Academies at South Mountain, Angela and Manny Silvas from Carl Hayden and CEE, Michelle Trush from Carl Hayden and Becky Vogel from North.
The annual PUHSD JROTC Military Ball is a culmination of classroom instruction and practical exercises in Military Customs and Courtesies, Cadet Etiquette, and Staff Planning. Central HS JROTC Cadets and Instructors planned and hosted the event.
