COLUMBUS, GA — The Columbus Police Department offers a progressive Police Cadet program designed to prepare young professionals for a rewarding career in law enforcement. Eight of our JROTC cadets loaded up on the school bus and went to The Columbus Police Department Headquarters. We were given a tour of the Headquarters guided by one of the recruiters and one of the young men in the Police Cadet Program. They gave us lots of valuable information, even a little bit of history on Columbus. This is another opportunity for a career after High School if cadets are unsure about what you want to do.
