Kentrell White is not only a rising Cadet in the Midtown High School JROTC program, but he is also a star athlete on the football team. And 29 January 2025 will be a day he will remember for the rest of his life. On that day Coach Kirby Smart from the 2022/2023 College Football National Champion University of Georgia (UGA) Bulldogs football team flew his helicopter to Midtown to pay Kentrell a personal surprise recruitment visit. UGA is recruiting him to play wide receiver and safety. The entire Midtown JROTC Cadre along with members of the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) JROTC DAI office were in attendance. This cadet is destined for success both on and off the gridiron.
