Miami Northwestern Senior High School Army JROTC Bulls Battalion from 6th Brigade hosted an estimated (800) eight hundred 8th-grade students from (12) twelve area feeder public Middle Schools. The annual event is titled “Bulls For A Day”. The students observed a Color Guard, Drill Demonstration, and Raider Briefing, and visited the JROTC Supply Room and JROTC Classrooms. “Why don’t we have JROTC in Middle School ?” Was the question that seemed to keep popping up which resonated with Cadets and Cadre. The Middle School students also visited Miami Northwestern’s renowned magnet programs, CTE programs, sports programs, clubs, and auxiliaries. COL (R) Marc A. Garcia, SAI opined; “I am highly impressed with these young people’s interest and questions, not only about JROTC but in AP courses and Dual Enrollment too, which the Cadets were quick to answer.”
