Manchester High School’s Lancer Battalion proudly announces that Cadet Laila Seward has been awarded the prestigious COL Drisko Scholarship. A four-year standout in the JROTC program, Cadet Seward has exemplified the leadership, discipline, and academic excellence that the scholarship honors.
Laila’s journey with the Lancer Battalion has been marked by consistent commitment and remarkable achievement. Over her high school career, she rose through the ranks, becoming a role model to her peers and a trusted leader in the program. Her dedication to service, strong work ethic, and positive impact on battalion morale set her apart.
Beyond her JROTC accomplishments, Laila excelled academically, graduating third in her class. Her scholastic dedication was further recognized through the awarding of multiple scholarships, reflecting both her academic prowess and leadership potential.
Laila will continue her path of excellence as she heads to the Senior ROTC program at Texas A&M University—one of the nation’s most respected military and academic institutions. Her selection for the COL Drisko Scholarship not only acknowledges her past achievements but also serves as an investment in her future as a leader in the United States Army.
The Manchester High School community and Lancer Battalion are incredibly proud of Cadet Seward’s accomplishments and look forward to following her continued success at Texas A&M and beyond. She leaves behind a lasting legacy that will inspire future cadets for years to come.
