The cadets of the Indian Battalion proudly showed their support of equality during the “March for Martin” parade through the Hallways of Lenape High School. This annual event honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as students march through the corridors while his I iconic “I have a dream” speech is played throughout the school. According to Cadet 1SG Catalina Moncayo “It symbolizes how we don’t forget the past.” Cadet 1LT Logan Zengolewicz further added “It connects people with different back grounds to one another.” Students and Cadets reflected on the fight for civil rights. While the Indian Battalion proudly supports and honors the civil rights movement, they look to the future as the spring approaches.
