FULTON COUNTY, GA — On March 31st, 2023 Creekside High School JROTC Cadet Sergeant First Class JaSaun Ransom won the first ever Fulton County, Georgia LET 1 Cadet of the Year competition. Rising above nearly 1,000 other students, Ransom demonstrated unwavering dedication and determination throughout the demanding event, which tested participants’ skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities across various disciplines, including knot tying, best uniform, a physical fitness test, a first aid test, and an evaluation on drill & ceremony.
Cadet Ransom’s outstanding performance showcased his well-rounded abilities and strong work ethic. From his mastery of knot tying to his exemplary uniform, impressive physical fitness, strong performance on an academic test, quick-thinking first aid skills, and precision during the drill & ceremony evaluation, Ransom’s commitment to excellence shone through each challenge. His achievements have not only earned him the admiration of his fellow cadets, instructors, and the entire JROTC community but have also set a high standard for future LET 1 cadets.
Congratulations to Cadet Ransom on his remarkable victory, which serves as a testament to his hard work and dedication to the Creekside JROTC program. We eagerly anticipate witnessing his continued growth and success as a leader and a proud representative of the JROTC community.
