🏆The JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl

An all-service national competition culminating in the Level III Championship at The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC.

The JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl (JLAB) is an all-service national competition that culminates in the Level III JLAB Championship at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC!

🔹 Participation Requirements

Must have at least one Leadership or Academic Team complete Level I.

Level I is available online until November 20, 2023. ⚠️ No extensions—complete early!

Use a supported browser: Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (Do not use Internet Explorer or Safari)

All team members must be present. The Instructor acts as the proctor.

The test must be taken as a team, in one sitting, and lasts about 1 hour.

  • Leadership Gauntlet: Timed stations with JROTC Curriculum questions
  • Leadership According to the Greats: Questions based on Army Senior Leaders like Gen. Marshall, Gen. MacArthur & Gen. Powell
  • Leadership Outside the Box: Scenario-based challenges
  • Leader Knowledge Assessment: Individual written exam

Leader Reaction Course: Collaborative experiential learning

Runs concurrently with the Leadership Bowl, focusing on academic excellence and team performance.
