JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) & STEM Camps
JCLCs are Brigade-level training events held at military installations and outdoor facilities across the globe. These immersive leadership camps provide cadets the opportunity to challenge themselves physically and mentally while fostering teamwork, confidence, and discipline.
In recent years, many JCLCs have expanded to include STEM components, integrating hands-on learning in robotics, drone piloting, coding, and engineering. These additions expose cadets to future-focused skills and careers in technology and innovation.
- Format: Camps typically last 4–7 days with structured leadership tasks and outdoor challenges
- STEM Integration: Units may include labs, simulators, drone flights, coding stations, and guest industry instructors
- Eligibility: Open to qualified cadets by Brigade nomination
