On February 26th, 2025, a select few of our JROTC cadets had the honor of hosting Mr. John DiDonato, the Chief of 2nd BDE JROTC, U.S. Army Cadet Command. This event was particularly auspicious because Mr. DiDonato is not a usual guest at Irvington High School.

Our JROTC Battalion Staff presented brief introductions about themselves and their roles, displayed valuable enrollment data, and program improvement areas that would be key to our growth. The cadets’ briefings solidify the lessons U2C2L1 (Becoming a Better Communicator) and U2C2L3 (Delivering Your Speech). This was all done in preparation for the JROTC Program for Accreditation inspection that will take place in April 2025.

To end the event, awards were given to cadets who participated in the JLAB round one and two events (JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl) and the Annual JROTC Essay Competition with the theme “Integrity” for SY 24-25.
