On Aug. 11, Indianapolis Public Schools JROTC Military Property Specialist and retired Maj. Lilibeth Goldshine was recognized as the 12th recipient of the Sheila Corcoran Hoosier Women Hero Award from Rep. Andre Carson’s office. This award recognizes Hoosier Women who are military veterans that have continued in their public service to the Hoosier state, serving as mentors and role-models for past and rising generations to come. The award was presented by Ms. Heather Harvey, who coordinates military affairs and Service Academy appointments for Carson’s office. Her military career and over 25 years of service with the JROTC program are a testament to her lifetime dedication to exemplifying the Army Values. Thousands of Hoosier young men and women are greater citizens because of her work and influence.
