Hopewell High School Titan Battalion Cadets participated in Boys State at Catawba University and Girls State at Campbell University. Girls State happened on June 9th-15th and Boys States happened from June 16th-22nd. During the week-long course, they acquired valuable lessons and skills. The program included a simulation of a real government system, where Cadets were elected to various positions of responsibility and managed their respective cities. Through this experience, the Cadets learned the importance of public speaking and collaboration in solving problems and achieving goals. Both Girls and Boys State featured multiple guest speakers who were leaders in their fields, encouraging attendees to always pursue excellence.
