Hillcrest High School JROTC Color Guard presented the colors for the American Lung Association Texas on April 29, 2023. This Texas Two-Step Event was held on the campus of SMU (Southern Methodist University) of Dallas, Texas. This event was unique because it consisted of a timed stair climb with over 1,000 steps and a 1-mile walk-run all happening at the same time. The American Lung Association event was to bring awareness to the prevalence of lung disease, youth vaping, lung cancer and to raise funds for further research to save lives.
