Griffin, GA – June 17, 2025 – Cadets from Griffin High School JROTC stood proudly during the Griffin Habitat for Humanity home dedication ceremony on June 14th, celebrating a year-long commitment to service. Cadets joined Habitat staff and community volunteers to help a local family receive the keys to their new home—an achievement shaped in part by the cadets’ more than 100 hours of hands-on support.
From installing siding to clearing debris, their contribution reflects what it means to lead with integrity and compassion. “Our cadets don’t just train to lead—they lead by example,” said LTC Nathaniel Flegler Jr., Senior Army Instructor. “Helping build this home is leadership in action.”
The event marked a milestone not only for the family receiving the home, but also for cadets witnessing the tangible impact of their service. Habitat for Humanity continues to uplift lives in Griffin, and the involvement of Army JROTC highlights the power of youth-driven change.
The Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) instills leadership, character, and civic responsibility. For more information, contact LTC (Ret.) Nathaniel Flegler Jr. at 770-229-3752 ext 27150 or email here.
