On March 07, 2023, members of the Garfield High School Bulldawgs Battalion were invited to the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall in Los Angeles, California to present the colors for the U.S. Army Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion Community Partners Meeting.

Members of the Garfield High School Color Guard were honored to participate in one of the most memorable presentations from this school year. With amazing guest speakers, General Gary M. Brito the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine, and Dr. Patrick J Baker the director of the US Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory Adelphi Maryland, along with the Honorable Mario A. Guerra, civilian aid to the Secretary of the Army. There were many other identified community partners from the local and state levels.

Our Color Guard team was appreciative to meet and speak with both the Secretary of the Army and TRADOC Commander General Gary M. Brito. In addition, taking the special opportunity to take several photos with General Gary M. Brito as well as Honorable Mario A. Guerra.

The Bob Hope Patriotic Hall is a ten-story building founded in Los Angeles in 1925 to commemorate and serve veterans of the American Indian Wars, the Spanish American War, and World War I, and in support of the Grand Army of the Republic “Wikipedia.” Cadets were honored to immerse themselves in a guided tour of this historical building, a truly remarkable opportunity.
