After an intense battle of wit, the Army JROTC program from Gadsden City High School has emerged as the champion of the 2024 Joint Service Academic Bowl held June 21-24 in Washington. Their win ends a 12-year drought for the Army Academic Teams.

Chief Warrant Officer 5 LaShon White, Command Chief Warrant Officer of the U.S. Army Reserve, congratulates the Gadsden City High School Army JROTC Academic Team on winning the 2024 Joint Service Academic Bowl Championship on June 23 in Washington. After a year of studying and advancing through numerous competitions, the top JROTC programs representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard met on the national stage to determine a winner in a Jeopardy-style competition.

This win marks the end of the 2024 Junior Leadership and Academic Bowl which showcases the leadership excellence and broad-subject knowledge of these hard-studying high school students.
