We are proud to announce that on Saturday, November 16th, the Tiger Battalion joined the ranks of JROTC units inducted into the National Society of Black Jack. Our cadets have shown great discipline and loyalty, not only as students but also as Army Junior ROTC cadets.

The Tiger Battalion Black Jack Program is now recognized as Echo Company 8th Regiment with efforts being led by Company Commander C/CPT Tasnim Ziadeh and First Sergeant C/2LT Athena Mai. They have shown great dedication within JROTC, exhibiting leadership attributes that demonstrate what it means to be a Black Jack.

With our cadets committed to Black Jack, currently consisting of approximately 42 members with plans to expand, the award ceremony was a great success. The cadets demonstrated exceptional respect for Retired LTC Paul Farinelle and his efforts to revive Black Jack. Many cadets expressed strong interest in making the most of this opportunity. Upholding high standards in uniform, drill, discipline, and communication is just the baseline for any dedicated cadet in Black Jack. These qualities will be crucial as we continue to strive for excellence and success in the future.

We will establish distinct standards for cadets in Black Jack, encompassing both knowledge of Black Jack and the proper wear of the uniform with pride and expertise. Shortly, we will host our Black Jack events to inspire cadets and encourage them to strive for excellence. Additionally, we will honor their achievements with patches and staff jackets, allowing them to sew their patch on and wear them with pride.
