The McAllen High School Bulldog Battalion celebrates 50 years of Junior ROTC with a tribute video played at our last home varsity football game. Happily, we also provided the color guard at the class of 1973’s 50th reunion where we met the very first Battalion Commander, Mr. Bard Stiles. He is pictured with our current Battalion Commander, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Carolina Escobedo at that event. Additionally, this marks the first year the Bulldogs have had an official unit crest on record with the US Army’s Institute of Heraldry. Its symbolism and description are mentioned in the video as well. We are honored to be part of this great battalion and hope to continue adding to its great legacy as we help our Cadets become leaders and responsible citizens.
