Denbigh High School JROTC cadets recently participated in a service-learning project at Knollwood Elementary School, engaging with young students through military drill instruction.

During the visit, cadets demonstrated stationary movements, guiding students through basic commands such as attention, parade rest, and about-face. They also introduced an interactive game called Knockout Drill, where students followed commands in a competitive format. In addition, cadets led the children in marching drills, helping them develop coordination and precision.

The elementary students were eager to learn, and the cadets took pride in sharing their knowledge and skills. Throughout the event, cadets emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline, and respect. The experience provided them with a valuable opportunity to practice leadership and communication while giving back to the community.

This service-learning project was a meaningful experience for both the JROTC cadets and the students at Knollwood Elementary, reinforcing the values of leadership and service while creating lasting memories.
