Dec. 7th, 2024 – 17 Cadets from Delsea Regional High School’s Army JROTC Service Learning Project Team supported the 15th Annual “Wreaths Of Reembrance” event at the Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ. This event is sponsored by the People For People Foundation of Gloucester County, a private non-profit organization which serves veterans and their families in southern New Jersey. Families, corporate sponsors and citizen volunteers came to the cemetery to honor local veterans who served in our nation’s wars from World War II up until today. Cadets assisted with wreath distribution to hundreds of family members and over 800 volunteers. Over 3300 veterans’ headstones can be found at this cemetery. By the end of the day, every single headstone had a wreath of remembrance placed in front of it, with woods of honor and respect read aloud. The day was cold – but the expression of respect and honor by our Cadets warmed many people’s hearts!
