Cambridge, Massachusetts – In March 2022, Miami Dade County Public School JROTC Senior Army Instructor COL (R) Marc A. Garcia was commended by the Harvard University Scholarship Review Committee for his work in supporting deserving students applying for admission into Harvard. The HUECU Committee reviewed 93 applicants and award 10 scholarships. COL Garcia was selected to serve on the university’s scholarship committee as an Alumni who completed the Senior Executive Fellows program at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government in June 2021. COL Garcia work with JROTC science, technology, engineering, math as well as higher education and scholarships have been published several times in the Army War College Foundation magazines.
