What an exciting experience this weekend in the largest gathering of Raider teams nationwide! So impressed with the Butler Bulldog’s team spirit and hard work put into competing within the arduous events at the U.S Army Raider Nationals. The Bulldogs stepped up and dove all-in at each challenge with no fear and showed genuine camaraderie as they pushed through every obstacle. Proud of our first appearance in the physical team test, gauntlet, 4k team mountain run and the infamous rope bridge across a creek.
Now we know what to expect the next time we show up. We’re going to be better prepared after adjusting our workouts to be harder than before. Our training will go from moderate to vigorous intensity. These are some of the comments shared after the events: “It was a fun eye-opening encounter that showed me what I need to do in order to improve. I enjoyed the communication and getting to know everyone better in a way that l can call them my family,” said Cadet Aycock. This is Aycock’s first year as a Raider and now he knows the importance of being dedicated to training. “The trip was amazing. I will never forget the experience. When we got to the top of the mountain on the 4K it was the most beautiful view from heights I’ve ever ran. I’m so glad I was given this opportunity,” claims Cadet Edwards.
Congratulations are in order for BHS JROTC RAIDERS for a job well done.
