Cadets from Butler High School Army JROTC visited the base and Headquarters for the 145th North Carolina Air National Guard Air Wing on 10 May 2024. Cadets were able to interact with members of the Heavy Lift Air wing and gain a better understanding of careers and duties that exist with the Air National Guard.  Tours and demonstrations were given for Air Medical Services, Crew Life Support, Aircraft Maintenance and Flight Crew Operation areas. The cadets ended the day with a tour of a C-17 heavy lift aircraft and had the privilege to witness promotion and reenlistment ceremonies held within the aircraft. Butler High School JROTC appreciates the 145th NCANG Airwing for taking the time to explain their mission, touring their facilities and sharing of their experiences in the service of our nation.
