On June 10 – 12, 2024, the Brackenridge High School JROTC program hosted the annual JROTC & LOTC Color Guard Camp, led by National Champion Color Guard Consultant Master Sergeant Ed Luckey.
In attendance were SAISD Cadets from Brackenridge, Jefferson, Edison, Burbank, and Highlands HS. Also, taking part in the training were Cadets from Alamo Heights, Johnson, and Somerset HS. In addition, we had the privilege of having LOTC Cadets from Tafolla MS who took full advantage of this awesome training opportunity.
SAISD Superintendent Jaime Aquino, and Brackenridge HS Principal Mandie Holtsford stopped by to offer inspirational words of support and encouragement to the Cadets and Instructors.
The 3-day event was a huge success. A special thanks to the JROTC Parent Support Club, HEB, Canes Chicken, and Jersey Mike’s for their exceptional support of our Program and our Cadets.
The Cadets now have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to continue training their teammates in preparation for a competitive year.
