The Cowboy Battalion Honors Color Guard Presented the Colors for the Boys Town Alumni Week Veteran Observance on 22 July 2023. Five current JROTC Cadets Presented the Colors for 75 Alumni Veterans and their family members. At the ceremony WWII and Cold War Honoree names were added to the Boys Town, NE Roll of Honor Memorial following years of deep research and donor support; Vietnam veterans were especially honored and welcomed home. Colonel (Ret) John Mollison USAF (Vietnam DFC x3) was presented a cadet coin for his continuing service to the nation, Boys Town, the cadet corps. Additionally, another cadet served as team manager/photographer and a cadet graduate sang The National Anthem to open the event held at Heroes Memorial (a long-time service-learning project of the cadet corps). This is the initial event for the US Army JROTC Cowboy Battalion’s 30th Anniversary Observance, 1993-94 through 2023-24. The entire Boys Town Community is very proud of their cadets and the service they render.
