The Bogalusa High School Lumberjack JROTC Raider Team delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Louisiana State Raider Competition earning the title of State Champions in the Army Division against 12 other schools. They also earned the title of Northshore District Champions on October 8th and brought home Iron Mike.

“Our cadets trained for months, and they showed heart in every event,” said retired 1st Sgt. Jack Rogers, Army Instructor and Raider Coach. “Raider isn’t just about physical strength – it’s about grit, trust, and pushing through as a team.”

Team Captain Cadet Destinee Penn added, “We came here to compete, and we gave everything we had. I’m proud of how we worked together and represented our school.”

The state competition marks the culmination of an intense season of training, late evening workouts, and team-building. For many cadets, the Raider program has strengthened their confidence, resilience, and sense of community. As the season concludes, the team looks ahead to Nationals at Fort Knox, Kentucky, already motivated to push even harder.
