YOUNGSTOWN, OH — Akron Public Schools Garfield Army JROTC competed in a drill meet at Youngstown East High School on Saturday March 11, 2023. Garfield Army JROTC finished first place again in the academic challenge competition lead by Cadet Jonathan Stanevich along with team members Tyler Marr, Robert Howe, Isabella Baughman and Tymithee Miller. Garfield varsity color guard under the command of Cadet Isabella Baughman and first year color guard under the command of Cadet Robert Howe each earned second place. Garfield varsity drill team also earned second place in the competition.
