Raider Best of the Best Competition in Chesterfield, Virginia, Saturday, April 20, 2024. The competition included teams from NC, SC, VA, WV, MD, DE, and Washington, DC. The Patriot Battalion Raider Team won first place in all events: the 5k team run, the team litter carry obstacle course, the team physical fitness course, the fireman’s carry relay race, and the one rope bridge. The team was led by senior Madison Giddeons. Members of the team are seniors Olivia Gurganus, Oscar Galvan, and Jamiah Johnson. Juniors Carter Brown, Luis Garcia-Maurilio, Gregory Greene, and Mallory Psioda. Sophomore Pasco Horton and Freshman Emma Mckoy. The Raider team is coached by teacher and Army Instructor CSM(R) David Shaw and finished the season with a 7-0 record.
