Roosevelt High School’s CyberPatriot Team placed first overall in the 2024 San Antonio Cyber Cup competition and earned the top scoring All Service Team. They are heading to Nationals! The San Antonio Cyber Cup pits CyberPatriot teams from across the area against each other in contests dealing with cybersecurity. The Roosevelt High School JROTC Team, “TX Patriot | Carebears’ Revenge”, consisting of; Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Seyma Killic, Cadet Captain Tina Tse, Cadet First Sergeant Jaron Glaser, and Cadet Private Corinne Kinlaw, won the Mayor’s Cyber Cup for the 6th year in a row. This annual event is hosted by the CyberTexas Foundation to connect the CyberPatriot competitors in San Antonio to the Cybersecurity industry partners and professionals. The Mayor’s Cyber Cup is given to the highest-scoring CyberPatriot team in the greater San Antonio area.

Along with this award, each member of the team was awarded a $60k scholarship to St. Mary’s University, a CompTIA Industry Based Certification Voucher, an internship opportunity with Booz Allen Hamilton, an internship offer from Leidos, a $1k educational grant from Alamo AFCEA, and the highly esteemed custom CyberTexas leather bomber jackets.
