On October 17th, 2023, The Garinger High School “Wildcat Battalion” Drill Team competed in the Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology’s annual Westside Drill Meet. There was a total of five events at the competition: Armed Platoon, Unarmed Platoon, Armed Squad, Unarmed Squad, and Color Guard. The Wildcat Battalion’s Armed Squad won 1st Place. The Color Guard and Unarmed Squad won second place. This was the first competition for many of the Cadets but the Wildcat Battalion’s hard work, dedication, and teamwork resulted in their exceptional performance.
