Irvington High School Army JROTC Cadets from 2nd Brigade in Irvington, NJ participated in the Junior Achievement High School Heroes program at Chancellor Ave. Elementary School on 21 December 2023. Over 80 Cadets, participated in our 2023 Service Learning Project by teaching young scholars from grades K through 5 using the Financial Literacy curriculum from Junior Achievement. The Cadets trained for over two months to master teaching strategies, teamwork skills, and proficiency in elementary Financial Literacy. Our Cadets felt this was one of the best opportunities to give back to the community of Irvington. The younger scholars were amazed, had fun, learned, and even cried as our Cadets left at the end of the day.
