Army JROTC C/MAJ Kliyo Castro from Weslaco High School is the Executive Officer for the Weslaco Panther Battalion. Cadet Castro is also President of the School Choir and a member of both the Drill and Raider Teams. Cadet Castro placed 1st Chair at the State of Texas UIL Choir competition. Cadet Castro has sung the national anthem at school, and at local and community events across South Texas. Cadet Castro had over 100 hours of community service during her Junior Year in JROTC, and she is co-founder of the Weslaco High School Karaoke Club.
