National High School Drill Team Championship

Established in 1982 and proudly sponsored by U.S. Army Cadet Command since 1988, the NHSDTC is the elite battlefield for Drill & Ceremony excellence across all JROTC services.

Held annually at the legendary Ocean Center Arena in Daytona Beach, Florida, this competition isn’t just a showcase — it’s a proving ground. With over 180,000 participants to date, it’s a historic convergence of military tradition, youthful intensity, and unrivaled discipline.

Open to all JROTC branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps
Active Duty Drill Sergeants serve as judges
Two competitive tiers: Challenge and Masters

Color Guard — Flag presentation precision
Inspection — Uniform sharpness & bearing

Each includes Armed and Unarmed divisions for max skill expression.
