C/LTC Parker Czyz of Adairsville High School JROTC was recently accepted into the United States Military Academy West Point. Parker is an incredible young man that is dedicated, hardworking and passionate about every goal he sets for himself. Parker has been a four-year member of the AHS JROTC program and earned his way up to the Tiger Battalion Commander. His superb leadership ability also earned him the commander of the Raider Team and a Drill Commander for two teams.
Parker has also excelled in the JROTC extra-curricular activities at AHS. He has been a member of two Georgia state championship Raider teams and one national championship Raider team. He also excelled on the Drill field. As a sophomore, he was a member of the state championship Color Guard Team and this year, he commanded the Regulation Armed Squad Team to a state championship and was a member of the state championship Squad Exhibition Team.
The attribute that best describes Parker is his character. Because of his values and high character, he became a tremendous leader in our program. He is respected by his classmates because he leads by example in everything he does. He is compassionate, respectful, and sets a high standard that motivates others to have that same high standard. He has been one of the best role models this program has ever had.
