Submitting Cadet News Stories
NOTE: SOME STORY SUBMISSION CRITERIA HAVE BEEN UPDATED
Have a story about a JROTC Unit or Cadet who did something amazing?
We invite you to share inspiring stories that highlight dedication, discipline, and excellence. Cadet Command proudly features these stories on the JROTC website.
Before submitting, ensure that Cadets are in proper uniform, including correct headgear and decorations per Cadet Command Regulation 145-2.
In order to better communicate the accomplishments of Army JROTC, stories must now be at least 3 paragraphs in length and feature at least 2 quotes from Cadets or subjects of the story.
Stories with incorrect uniforms may not be published. Your attention to detail preserves the professionalism and integrity of the JROTC program.
Submit stories using the form below or email the Webmaster. The JROTC website is all about our Cadets — your stories make them shine!
Submission Requirements
- Regulation Compliance: Cadet uniforms must adhere to Cadet Command Regulation 145-2.
- Release Forms: Parent/Guardian permission is required. Use the Sample Cadet Release Form if needed.
Please Include:
- Author of the story (SAI, AI, Cadet PAO)
- School name
- Brigade
- Story Details:
- Title
- Full narrative with detail
- Photos:
- High-resolution (not embedded in Word)
- Captions (who, what, when, where)
- Credit (who took the image)
- Videos:
- YouTube links preferred
- Description and credit
Note: If images cannot be uploaded via the form, email them separately to the Webmaster. Avoid using cloud links (such as OneDrive and Dropbox) for security reasons.
