WASHINGTON, D.C. — LTC (Ret.) Mark O’Connor, Senior Army Instructor (SAI) for Jackson-Reed High School Army JROTC, shares the following: “Good afternoon.  Below is a photo from today’s field trip to the White House.  Our cadets participated in the Quad Cyber Challenge Conference hosted by the White House and the Department of Education.  The purpose of the conference was to grow the cyber workforce and to employ a “whole of government” approach to increase cyber security across our nation.  The cadets participated in a cyber discussion with a panel of experts and had the opportunity to tour parts of the White House complex before lunch.  They learned a lot, had fun and represented Jackson-Reed and JROTC well.”
