March was a great experience for the Oiler Battalion Cadets! One of the many events completed was the Houston ISD’s Blue Bonnet competition, a yearly event which showcases Houston’s many JROTC programs. The Pearland HS JROTC cadets experienced the large competition for the first time in their 30-year history. The Oiler Battalion placed 3rd overall out of 33 programs in the event which has over 6 events, not to mention those events sub events. The Oilers brought home 1st for female swim, 2nd female PT, 3rd male swim, and 3rd male PT. The competition highlights the numerous events Oilers (and all JROTC programs) practice throughout the school year to be competitive.
