The US Army 85th JROTC Battalion participated in the 19th Annual North Brunswick High School Drill/Air Rifle/Raider Tri-Meet on February 25, 2023. The battalion currently has a high population of first-year cadets. This was an awesome experience for them to see and learn new techniques in drill, raider, and air rifle competitions. The teams were able to express leadership, teamwork and were overall very motivating in our participation of all three events. Although, it was a nerve racking and intense competition, we were confident in our hard work.
The teams earned 11 trophies; our Drill team won 3rd place overall in the drill competition and the Raiders won 2st place overall in the co-ed division. At the end of the day, our teams won 2nd place overall in the 3-event championship at the North Brunswick Tri-meet. “Hard work pays off. Overall, it was educational and a fun day for our JROTC Battalion which will help our beginning cadets to get the experience they need to better their skills.” says Cadet/Lieutenant Colonel Brianna Serrano the 85th JROTC Battalion Commander.
The 85th JROTC Battalion is instructed by Major Alexis McClain (Retired) and Sergeant Major Douglas Koser (Retired).
