WILMINGTON, DE — COL (Ret.) Ivan Montanez, Senior Army Instructor (SAI) for Mount Pleasant High School Army JROTC, shares the following:
“We hosted our first robotics event at our school, where we had 20 different teams compete for regionals. The JROTC program planned, organized, set up, and executed the tournament while our teams competed. Amazing event! We will definitely host more tournaments at our school since we are the only Army JROTC program in our district.”
Twenty teams were able to complete for a spot in the DELMARVA Spin Up High School Regional Championship and for the 2023 JROTC National Championship. Both Mount Pleasant High School Army JROTC teams won the tournament championship, qualifying for DELMARVA Regionals and JROTC National Championship at VEX Worlds!
