DECATUR, AL — On January 25th, Decatur High Army JROTC awarded the unit crest to the company. In order to receive a crest, cadets must complete one full semester in JROTC. A good caption for the photo below is, “Timothy Hunter received his unit crest on January 25th, 2023 at Decatur High School. His Grandfather, Vernon Otis Chance, 82, who retired from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, pinned the crest on Hunter”.
