The Denver JROTC received a $100,000 donation from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2461.

The money will go directly towards cadet achievement in competitions and travel such as Marksmanship, Drill, Raider, Drone, Robotics, Staff Rides, and also sponsor the annual Military Ball. Superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero, VFW 2461 Commander Matt Dixon-Moran, and DAI LTC (R) Kevin Black spoke at the live stream event and was also attended by Mr. Bernard McCune, Executive Director of Athletics, Activities and Extended Learning. Local Channel 7 news covered the event and interviewed the Commander.  Dr. Marrero presented the Post Commander with a Superintendent coin and received one in return from the Post Commander.
