The marksmanship team from Ansbach Middle High School in Ansbach, Germany recently completed a successful trip to Camp Perry, Ohio, where their precision team paced first overall in regional competition.
The team spent several days training and refining their skills, giving both the precision and sporter teams time to focus on accuracy, consistency, and teamwork before the competition began.
The precision team had an outstanding performance, with two members advancing to the finals: freshmen Cadets Bulinski and P. Larson. Both students performed extremely well under pressure. Cadet Bulinski finished in 6th place in the finals, while Cadet Larson placed fourth – an impressive achievement in a highly competitive field.
Meanwhile, the precision team delivered an incredible performance by earning first place in the regional competition. Their strong showing demonstrated the dedication and hard work that went into preparing for the event.
Competitions like this require focus, patience, and confidence. Legendary competitive shooter Gary Anderson once said, “The most important thing in shooting is consistency. The best shooters are the ones who can repeat the same good shot over and over.”
The trip to Ohio was not only a competition but also a valuable learning experience. From days of practice to the intensity of the finals, the team showed determination, teamwork, and pride in representing their program. With strong performances from both the precision and sporter teams, the competition was a memorable and successful event for everyone involved.
The winning precision team will be returning to Camp Perry to compete in the JROTC All-Services Championship.
