This year has been one of the most successful years in the Wiesbaden Warrior rifle team’s history. Recently, the Wiesbaden varsity marksmanship team showcased their incredible skill at the DODEA Europe West Conference Final, where they won the first match of the season. Wiesbaden High School’s Varsity team is being sent to compete in the European 3PAR Championship in Vilseck, Germany. This year, the Warrior Battalion is the qualifying marksmanship varsity team – allowing them to travel to Camp Perry, Ohio and shoot at regional nationals.

“Being a Captain for the last two years of the WHS Varsity Marksmanship Team has been a colorful experience,” said Cadet Sofia Durant. “While the sport is individual, at the end of the day, we work together as a team to motivate and help each other improve our scores. Seeing the team grow over the past few years has been amazing, and I think it will become a pattern into the future, only bringing more victories and more opportunities. I am excited to see us succeed and surpass our previous season scores.”

This season has also been one of the better in Wiesbaden High School’s history, and many students are excitedly waiting for the results of the team’s effort at the final and national championships.

“Our team has a lot of talent and pride, which really makes us stand out. Our recent victories sparked a lot of determination, and I hope that this translates to success at finals,” said Cadet Primrose Pingrey.
