On Aug. 18, to kick this year off our Army JROTC Color Guard was invited to to present the colors for the United States Secretary of Education the Honorable Linda McMahon. The Cadets presented colors for the National Anthem and for the Girl Scout troop who lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The event was hosted by the Women for T.R.U.T.H. “Together we Rise: Women United for T.R.U.T.H.” ( which stand for: Transparency, Revitalize/Reaffirm, Unity, Trust, Health). Our Color Guard presented the colors for over 500 attendees and dignitaries. This was a spectacular event hosted at a national town hall held at the Eiseman center in Richardson, Texas. The Cadets consisted of our top Color Guard team winners from last year.

While at the event our Cadets were able to meet Special Guests include Sadie Schiermeyer, Miss Texas USA for 2025, as well as Emma Fossum, Miss Texas Teen USA 2025, and another number of prominent professional women in healthcare, a national news anchor, cyber security specialist and legal affairs director, authors, and other women with prominent positions within the current administration.
