Cadet Private First Class (PFC) Levi Austin, Clarksville High School LET II, Wresting Team Member, and Jujitsu White Belt, competed in the Atlanta Open International Brazilian Jujitsu Federation (IBJJF) Championships. Levi was selected for the IBJJF Championships based on his competition history, winning multiple qualifying matches by submission. During the IBJJF Championships, he competed in the advanced juvenile white belt division at the 160 – 165 weight class. Levi competed against an international competitor, from Brazil, and defeated him with six points to zero. After the win in Atlanta, Levi was recognized with a gold medal and ranked internationally within the IBJJF.
c/PFC Austin is a member of a local Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jujitsu Academy, has been practicing jujitsu for two years, holds a 2nd degree white belt, and wrestles at the high school level. Currently Levi is ranked 5th in all Tennessee Renzo Gracie Academy’s, and an assistant coach for the youth wrestling program.
