On May 23 the JROTC program hosted the school’s first ever signing ceremony. The seniors signed pledges committing to serve in the United States Armed Forces.

The seniors who have enlisted to join a branch of the United States military are:

Kimel S. Lennon, who is enlisting in the U.S. Army on active duty as a 92V unit supply specialist. Unit supply specialists are responsible for managing and maintaining Army supplies and equipment worth millions of dollars, ensuring units are properly equipped and mission ready.

Kimya S. Lennon and Tiara N. Stackhouse, who enlisted in the U.S. Army on active duty as a 92V unit supply specialist.

Nakysha R. Johnson, who is enlisted in the U.S. Army on active duty as a 25H network communication specialist. As a network communication specialist, she will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and repairing communication networks to keep Army operations connected and secure.

Jalera T. Odom, who is enlisted in the U.S. Army on active duty as a 25H network communication specialist.

Elijah J. Caraballo, who is enlisted in the U.S. Army on active duty as a 91F small arms/artillery repair specialist. Small arms repair specialists are responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting the Army’s small arms and artillery weapons to ensure they function safely and effectively.

Kaleb B. Smith, who is enlisted in the U.S. Army on active duty in an unspecified military occupational specialty.

Nathan P. Watts, who is enlisted in the U.S. Navy on active duty in the submarine electronics/computer field (SECF). As part of the SECF program, he will complete extensive training in the operation and maintenance of advanced electronics equipment, digital systems and computers used in submarine combat control, sonar and navigation.

Tony Jordan, who is enlisted in the U.S. Navy on active duty as an information technology specialist. In this role, he will operate and maintain the Navy’s global satellite telecommunications system, mainframe computers, local and wide area networks and microcomputer systems throughout the fleet.

Xavier R. Tart, who is enlisted in the U.S. Navy on active duty as a seaman. As a seaman, he will be responsible for the operation of the ship’s deck and related activities, including deck maintenance, small boat operations, navigation and supervising personnel.”
